For web design agencies
Find local businesses whose website is holding them back
KnockB reads the websites of local businesses in the cities you serve and notices what each one is missing, like online booking or a site that doesn't work on a phone. Then it writes a short email about that one thing, for you to approve.
Signals
What the agents notice on each site
Only things they can confirm on the business's own pages. If a detail can't be checked, it isn't used.
Not built for phones
No mobile viewport tag, so the site opens as a tiny desktop page on a phone.
No online booking
No booking tool and no “book online” link, so customers have to call to book.
No HTTPS
Browsers show “Not secure” next to the address.
An old footer year
A copyright year a few years back, a hint that nobody has touched the site in a while.
The site builder
WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and others, so you know what you'd be replacing.
No live chat
Nothing for a visitor with a quick question except the phone.
Example
A first email, written from what it found

Subject: Riverside's site on a phone
Hi Dr. Ortiz,
I opened the Riverside Family Clinic site on my phone, and it loads as a tiny desktop page, so the phone number and hours are hard to tap. We build phone-friendly sites for family practices around Fresno. Would a short call next week be useful?
Thanks, Rakesh

Guide
How to sell websites to local businesses
- Pick one kind of business and one area. A dentist in Bakersfield needs something different from a roofer in Reno.
- Lead with one specific thing you noticed on their site, not a list of everything that's wrong with it.
- Keep the first email short: what you saw, what you do, and one easy question.
- Send from your own mailbox, a few a day, while they're at work.
- Follow up once, then stop. Honor every opt-out, for good.
KnockB does the first four for you, and you approve every email before it goes out.

Nothing goes out without your YES
- Approval comes first by default. You see every email before it sends.
- Every action you ask for in chat needs a YES.
- Sending a reply needs YES plus a 4-digit code, so nothing goes by accident.

FAQ
Questions agencies ask
No. It checks what it can see reliably on the business's own pages: whether the site works on a phone, HTTPS, online booking, live chat, the site builder and the footer year. It doesn't measure speed, reviews or search rankings.
